The Humane Society for Greater Nashua (HSFN) is pleased to announce a new HSFN dog walking group for shelter alumni and their owners with walks starting in January. Named the Alumni Woof Pack, the group is a free meetup group for owners who enjoy taking their dogs out to walk, run and romp at local dog-friendly places. This group is designed for HSFN dogs and their owners who love fresh air, exercise, the opportunity to encourage and reinforce positive socialization skills, and to promote responsible dog ownership in our community.
Walking venues will range from easy to strenuous, with dogs either leashed or off-leash pending town leash laws and owner’s control. Detailed descriptions of the walk, including date, time and location will be posted on our meetup page so you can be sure the walk is appropriate for you and your dog. Most hi kes will take place on the weekend.
Dogs participating in our meetup walks should be vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and friendly toward other dogs. Also, you must pick up after your dog. This is a public meet up group and photos taken during the walk will be posted to our facebook page, website and on our meetup.com page. Please let us know in advance if you do not want to be photographed.
To join our group you must read and agree to our waiver online on our meetup page. Children are welcome, but a written waiver from the parent or guardian has to be provided.
