Adoption Application/Fees

Thank you for considering adopting a pet from the Humane Society for Greater Nashua!

• We have adoption applications on site, but you are welcome to print and fill out a copy to bring with you.
• Once here, you will meet with a trained adoption counselor who will talk with you about your expectations for a new pet. Our job is to match the right pet to your family and lifestyle.
• Please note our policy is that adopters must be at least 21 years old to adopt a dog or at least 18 years old to adopt a cat from our shelter.
• Please have all household members present at the adoption.
• We require dog intros prior to adopting a dog to a household with one or more canines. Please bring your dog(s) with you to the shelter for a meet and greet. 

We respectfully request that you complete a liability waiver prior to visiting our facility. 

Adoption Fees

Cats
Kittens (under 1 year): $200
Adult Cats: $150
Senior Cats, ages 10 and older: $75

Dogs
Puppies (under 1 year): $450
Dogs, ages 1-5 years: $350
Dogs, ages 6 and older: $175

Small animals
Rabbit: $50
Ferret: $25
Small Animal: $10
Exotics: $60+

Senior Adoption Program

• Eligible adopters must be 60 years of age or older
• No minimum age of a pet to be eligible for this program, however the program only applies to cats and dogs
• $75 discount on cat and dog adoption fees

All our animals’ adoption fees include a microchip. All animals have age appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. Please call (603) 889-2275 with any questions regarding the adoption process and fees, or stop into the shelter during our open hours. Please notice, all adoption fees are non-refundable.
