WE’RE EXPANDING!
Simply put, we have outgrown our 47-year-old building. We needed a facility that can accommodate the growing needs of our animal community. Over the last 18 months our staff and volunteers have been collaborating on an $8 million Capital Campaign Project that will include a 10,000 square foot expansion along with renovations to our existing shelter. We’ve currently raised $6.8 million towards this project.
Help us unlock the
$1 million match
Thanks to the generosity of a few anonymous donors, $1 million of the funds raised will be unlocked when we receive another $1 million in donations.

Highlighted Features of our Expansion
Affordable Vet Care Clinic
We understand how important affordable vet care is for our community. According to the APPA National Pet Owners Survey (2021-2022), 72% of the people in the U.S. said they feel they can’t afford veterinary care at least some of the time. By providing affordable care, we can help keep pets safe, healthy, and at home with their families where they belong. This expansion will allow us to serve a greater amount of both shelter and community pets. From nail trims to spay/neuter surgeries to dental cleanings, it will all be done at our new Humane Care Center.
Training Rooms
Our current garage has been designated as the “training room”. It is utilized for canine classes, behavioral evaluations, staff meetings, and more. In rare cases, this room has been used as additional kennel space for animals.
The expansion will include a large room with moveable partitions to divide the entire area into four separate multipurpose rooms if need be. We no longer will need to worry about overlapping schedules. Meetings, evaluations, and training sessions can happen at the same time. This additional space will allow us to shift & change with community needs.
Dog Kennels
We will add 20 new, improved dog kennels designed to reduce kennel stress and mitigate the spread of disease. These kennels will be equipped with a special air filtration system and have the ability to be sectioned off in groups of 5 for proper quarantine methods.
Additional Updates/Renovations
Our project will also include critical renovations to our existing shelter and animal housing areas.
