November 2020
Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases here in New Hampshire we find it necessary to increase our protective measures here at the Humane Society for Greater Nashua. We see a large number of interstate adopters coming through our doors. We ask that the following procedures be followed when visiting HSFN:
New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu issued an executive order implementing a statewide mask mandate beginning amid a new surge in coronavirus infections.
According to the order, everyone within the state over the age of five must wear facial coverings while in public, both outside and indoors, “where they are unable to or do not consistently maintain a physical distance of at least six feet from persons outside their own households.”
Members of the public entering the building during typical business hours for adoption and informational purposes will be closely monitored to maintain safe numbers in our lobby. If more than five people are in the lobby, the additional visitors will be asked to leave an adoption application at the reception desk and wait in their car. We will call when next adoption counselor is available.
It is highly recommended that anyone coming to adopt one of our animals visit our website and bring a completed adoption application and waiver with them. This will save time and potentially avoid someone else stepping in line ahead of them to adopt the same animal.
Thank you all for your continued support.
