Can You Help Us With Our Have a Heart Campaign?

Throughout the entire month of February, and into March, we hope you’ll participate in our Have a Heart Campaign by buying a paper heart to show your support of our pets. Many local businesses are partnering with us to sell hearts and raise funds for the work we do to help homeless pets:

Good Mojo Dog Center in Milford has been a great supporter of the shelter and our Have a Heart Campaign.

Each red heart represents someone in our community who has donated $1 towards the Humane Society and the gold hearts represent a $10 donation. While it may seem like a small donation, thanks to active community members this campaign has raised over $8,000 in the past. We are hoping to have another successful campaign this year, but we need your help!

Each heart proudly displays the donor’s name, or the name of their pet, or may also bear the name of a beloved pet that has passed. If you’re willing to contribute, please stop by one of the following locations to purchase a heart:

Animal Hospital of Nashua sold over $1,300 worth of hearts in 2012! What a team! They sold the most of any location that year.

Laurie Dufault, Director of Development would be happy to get some more hearts into the business community! Maybe you have a break room the hearts could be displayed in, or you could volunteer to gather up your co-workers hearts and display them in at the Humane Society. Maybe you know a friendly business owner you could ask? We do the best we can to spread the word, but we always need help from kind supporters like YOU! If you know of anyone who may be willing to display hearts and collect donations, please email us or give Laurie a call at 603-889- 2275 x27.

The proceeds from this campaign help HSFN provide food, medical care, vaccines and shelter for the pets in their care. HSFN takes in over 2,000 pets annually and is the second busiest shelter in the state. We hope you’ll participate in whatever way you can!
