2025 Fund-A-Need
As part of our expansion, we are excited to introduce a new state-of-the-art veterinary clinic, which will significantly enhance our ability to provide the best care for both shelter animals and community pets. Having access to reliable, high-quality technology is vital for our veterinary team as they work to diagnose and treat these animals.
This year, we are seeking support to fund a new digital x-ray machine and a handheld digital dental x-ray machine, as our current x-ray machine has been in service for ten years. The estimated cost comes to $80,000.
How They Impact Treatment
Handheld Dental X-ray:
-Identifying dental disease below the gums in canine, feline, rabbit, and rodent patients
-Planning dental procedures based on health of surrounding bones
-Confirming a diseased tooth has been completely extracted and no fragments are left behind
-Easy mobility & positioning to collect accurate, clear images
Table X-ray:
-Diagnosing broken bones, intestinal foreign bodies, and herniated organs
-Screening for primary or metastatic tumors
-Assessing heart health based on size, shape, and position
-Diagnosing pregnancy including number of fetuses and stage of pregnancy
-Digital images can be attached to patient records and/or shared with other veterinarians
