Make a Difference - Become a HSFN volunteer!

The Humane Society for Greater Nashua (HSFN) is committed to providing each volunteer with a rewarding and productive experience. We offer a well-structured volunteer program and a chance to make a difference in the lives of our animals. HSFN also provides all the necessary orientations, training and support.

Are you interested in volunteering within the shelter? If so, simply fill out a volunteer application and submit to the shelter for consideration. A determination will be made to best match your interests and abilities with our current volunteer openings. We also ask for a regular time commitment in your chosen volunteer position. We are happy to accept in-house shelter volunteer applications from interested individuals who are at least 16 years of age.

Have you been appointed Court-mandated Community Service hours? Volunteers will only be accepted if the individual plans on completing over 40 hours (or on an as-needed basis) at HSFN. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. After filling out this application, the applicant will be contacted by the Director of Volunteer Resources. By filling out this application, the individual is not guaranteed community service at the shelter. Applicants are accepted only if certain requirements can be met and if there is availability at that time. We also require a copy of court documentation as well as a letter of intent stating your commitment to the hours.

Do you suffer from pet allergies, between the ages of 8 and 16, or who want to help once or twice a year on a specific fund raising event? There are other ways you can help! HSFN publishes a weekly e-newsletter which contains current animal statistics and upcoming events, please sign up here to be added to the distribution list.
