Finally It’s My Turn to Walk! Join Me at the Walk for Whiskers

It’s Junior again. My adopted parents have been walking and running 5Ks for years and I could never go with them; I know that I will be great at them. I love to walk! Now, thanks to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua (HSFN), I have my chance to participate and show my great walking skills at their annual Walk for Whiskers on Saturday, September 12.

The Walk starts at 11am in Mine Falls Park in Nashua and my family and I can walk a 3K or 5k route to support my friends awaiting adoption at the Humane Society. Not to worry, this is not a race; it is a walk at your own pace. The Walk for Whiskers is a true walk fundraiser to celebrate the supporters of the HSFN. Signing up and fundraising on-line is easy. Get started today!

All dogs and their associated people are welcome. Adults (19 years and older) can register to walk for $20.00. The fundraising minimum is $200.00 in order to receive the event t-shirt, lunch after the walk, a bag full of cool goodies for you and your pup, and 4 free tickets to the Wags to Whiskers Festival on October 3. Registration fee for Children 18 years and younger is $10.00, with a fundraising minimum of $100.00 for kids to receive all of the same goodies mentioned above. Walkers are still welcome to participate even if they don’t meet the fundraising minimums. They just won’t be eligible to receive the goodies.

Special prizes will be awarded for top adult, top child and top team fundraisers as well as for individuals raising $500 and $1,000. All pledges go towards supporting the pets in our care as they wait to be adopted into their forever homes.

Register on-line for the walk today! If you have any questions or have trouble signing up email Noelle Schuyler with any questions. I look forward to seeing you and lots of HSFN alumni at the Walk in September. I’m off to practice now! I’m eager to help my friends awaiting adoption.
