Proctor Animal Cemetery

Founded in 1929 on land donated by the late Roscoe F. Proctor, Proctor Animal Cemetery has since provided a final resting place for beloved pets. Started as the fulfillment of a dream by Humane Society founder, M. Jennie Kendall, Proctor Animal Cemetery serves as a fitting memorial to our four-legged friends. Beginning with Miss Kendall's own feline friend Creampot, who perished in the Crown Hill fire of 1930, and whom is interred in the first row of the cemetery.

While plot sales are no longer available in Proctor, other options exist when it comes time for your pet. In addition to the services listed below we can advise you of other pet cemeteries in the area.

In 1978 the Humane Society shelter was built on these grounds.

Cremation Services

If you prefer cremation for your pet, you may choose to have the ashes returned to you. We will place them in a decorative tin container that is included in the cremation fee. A variety of cremation urns are available by special order. Urns are available in woods, ceramics, plastics, and metals. You may choose engraved or photo-etched urns or a plain, undecorated container.

General cremation services are also available for those who do not wish to retain their pet's ashes.

Whatever manner you choose in which to memorialize your special companion, the individuals at Proctor Animal Cemetery can help you make dignified and special choices.
