Safety Net Program

Our growing Safety Net Program is run solely by dedicated Humane Society volunteers who want to help pets and pet owners in need. They work diligently to connect them with the resources they need but may not be able to afford.

The Goals of the program are:

  • To provide pet food and supplies through a pet pantry
  • To be financially secure and community supported
  • To provide a list of pet friendly rentals
  • To provide resources of a network of pet sitters, day care, boarding, grooming
  • When sufficient funds are available, connecting those in need with veterinary resources

Who do we help? Anyone in need including:

  • Recently evicted pet owners
  • Those entering rehabilitation facilities
  • Those who need vet care assistance – when funds become available
  • Recent immigrants
  • Disabled persons
  • Veterans
  • Those in transitional Housing/shelter
  • Those struggling with domestic abuse

Your Donation Matters

We are engaged in rescues and providing care to over 2,500 animals annually, but we can’t do it alone. Donations help assure we have a safe and healthy place for stray, unwanted and rescued animals and help us get them well and adopted. Please consider making a gift, thank you.
