The Fat Pet Club, formed by five twelve-year old animal-loving girls in Nashua, presented
$200 to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua. This money was collected from generous
residents as the girls went from door to door on North Nashua streets. These dedicated girls
started the Fat Pet Club recently, so that they could help the Humane Society after it was
robbed of cat food.
The participating girls are Abagail Taper, Vistoria P., Amy-Jane Sorenson, Sarah DeShaw,
and Carolyn Marquis. These girls have dedicated themselves to collecting money for the
shelter.
The girls made many trips around their neighborhoods, giving out decorative bookmarks that
they made to the people who donated money. Many of the home-made bookmarks displayed
animals' needs for good care and love.
